NCASP
The North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals was founded in 1966 as the Institute of Temporary Services to ensure that qualified temporary help services were available to business and industry while simultaneously providing flexible employment opportunities to the work force. From 1970 to 1994, the association solely represented temporary help companies. In 1994, the name was changed to reflect the myriad of services offered by staffing services. For many years, North Carolina had 2 associations in order to serve both Temporary Staffing Services (NCATSS) and the Recruiting Industry (NCAPS). In January of 2000, due to the diverse and blended services those in the staffing industry offer, the two associations joined forces to create the North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals (NCASP).
The function of NCASP is to promote the staffing industry in a positive, educational and ethical manner and act as a watchdog for legislation which might adversely affect the industry. NCASP is the only trade association in NC that represents ALL areas of the staffing business - temporary, direct hire, long term staffing, executive recruiting, contract employment and everything in between.
NCASP is a proud chapter association of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) and the American Staffing Association (ASA).
 
 
 
 
     
CPC
Since 1961, the National Association of Personnel Services has been certifying recruiting and staffing professionals nationally. Today, there are more than 10,000 professionals designated as Certified Personnel Consultants (CPC) or Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialists (CTS). Over 300 professionals are dually certified, a trend that continues to grow as the market and demand dictates more blended capabilities. NAPS also has available the first staffing specialty certification designation, the Physician Recruiting Consultant (PRC).
 
 
 
     
ASA  
The American Staffing Association promotes legal, ethical, and professional practices for the $91 billion U.S. staffing industry. ASA members account for 85% of U.S. staffing industry sales and operate more than 15,000 offices throughout the nation. Three million Americans go to work for U.S. staffing companies every business day.  
 
     
 
CSP
The CSPT program enhances the competency and knowledge of labor and employment law of any professional who interacts with candidates, employees, and clients.
 
 
 
 
 
NAPS
As the personnel services profession grew, the need for national representation became more evident. The National Employment Association (NEA) was created from two older organizations, laying the cornerstone for what would become the National Association of Personnel Consultants (NAPC), then the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS).
The association was formed to represent our profession in critical legislative arenas in Washington, DC, provide legislative guidance and aid in states where government affairs challenges exist, create a structure of ethical practices for industry self-regulation, increase public and business awareness of the value of personnel services, and to educate members and non-members towards better practices and the maintenance of high professional standards.
With the formation of NAPS, education and training of practitioners took on a national dimension. NAPS began to conduct annual conferences and seminars to bring needed help and training to individuals, owners, and managers across the United States.
The National Association of Personnel Services has been the staffing industry educator since 1961 and enjoys its reputation as the oldest industry association. We continue to maintain the position as the search and staffing industry educator through our certification program, continuing education initiatives, eLearning and our annual conference.
